An Open Letter to theTribunal Judges

Dear Tribunal Judges,

The ongoing election tribunal is very important in the history of Nigeria. It will define how good or how corrupt Nigeria judicial system is. The 2023 general elections, especially the presidential elections has been tagged by Nigerians and the rest of the world as fraudulent, corrupt and violent election. The people’s elected President, his Excellency, Peter Obi of Labour Party was denied the victory given to him by millions of Nigerians and was asked to go to court by INEC and APC after declaring Bola Tinubu of APC the president select. Ever since, Nigerians all over the world have been crying, agitating and calling on the judiciary to do the right thing. It has been very disturbing whether or not the judiciary will fail us too. It will be shameful if the judiciary will allow a few number of witches to keep holding Nigerians to ransom. Many Nigerians went to vote on the national Election Day against all odds. I was very sick on that day yet I managed to find my way to my polling unit to cast my vote because the coming affliction that I see, is far worse than the bodily affliction that I felt then. To deprive Nigerians of the president they have chosen is therefore not acceptable.

The evidences of who won the election are very clear starting from the campaign period to date. The enemies of Nigeria tried to dig up faults against Peter Obi, and when they failed, election violence and rigging became their only source of false victory. There were so many manual and electronic evidences that revolve around collation and transmission of the presidential election results that are too obvious to be denied. I therefore urge you to look beyond money and threats, and save your integrity as well as the face of Nigeria and Africa.

It is not possible that a proven drug lord, liar, ruthless killer and a terrorist will become the president of Nigeria just because INEC and few Nigerians that are indebted to him said so.  The only thing that is possible is a new and better Nigeria where students will pay school fees and enjoy the wealth of knowledge without interruption of frequent strikes, where the youths will have an enabling environment to thrive in their entrepreneurial endeavors devoid of hostility, where Nigerians will pay for light and water and enjoy same in adequate measure, where federal character will truly be implemented and where labourers will no longer labour in vain.

It therefore lies in the hands of the judiciary to make sure that justice prevails and that a criminal shall not be sworn in as Nigerian president come May 29th. We implore you not to manipulate the law and thrash the hopes of many Nigerians, hence giving God a hard time using other means. Enough is enough! May the Almighty God, the greatest judge see you through!

Enemies of Nigeria

From the North and down to the South, Nigerian enemies have continued to increase over the years. They can be found in every nook and crannies of Nigeria and their fangs have continued to grow because they eat fat and suck the blood of many Nigerians. They have turned the green fields of Nigeria to red with blood of innocent citizens. They shake hands today, they exchange fists tomorrow. The more we watch their movie titled ‘chameleon,’ the less we see. Their only agenda is to impoverish Nigerians until we all see them as gods to be worshipped.

Enemies of Nigeria are not only those who embezzle public funds and divert it to their personal gains, they are not only those who bury money at their mansions, they are not only those who divert our natural resources to their private businesses, they are not only those who create artificial scarcity, They are not only those who starve and destroy our institutions because they have stolen enough money to get the services they want anytime they want it and anywhere in Europe, America or Asia, they are not only the greedy politicians who can destroy innocent lives to get to the seat of power, they are not only the greedy politicians who engage the services of contractors but refuse to pay them after doing the job, they are not only the selfish politicians who sponsor election rigging, they are not only those who rig elections or manipulate election results, etc.

Enemies of Nigeria are also those who applaud those wicked politicians, they are those Nigerians who help the evil politicians to carry out their nefarious activities, they are those Nigerians that help the wicked and selfish politicians get to the seat of power, they are those Nigerians that do not have PVCs for no good reason, they are those Nigerians that did not collect their PVCs for no good reason, they are those Nigerians that have their PVCs but have made up their minds not to vote on Saturday, the 25th of February 2023 for no good reason, they are those Nigerians who go hungry because they cannot access their deposited money and still think that what will happen will happen whether they vote or not, and bla, bla, bla.

The die is cast and this Saturday, Nigerians are faced with two choices: to choose freedom or continue to live in bondage. We have seen the handwriting on the wall and cannot continue to pretend we don’t know what is happening. In this season, God has caused a credible candidate to come out and contest for presidential candidate. The Holy Bible said by their fruits we shall know them. Peter Obi has proved himself as the best candidate of all the presidential candidates, if not for any other thing, at least by his past records when he was the governor of Anambra state. It is not God’s job to come down and drag Peter Obi to Aso Rock, rather, we only need to go to our respective polling units and vote for him and then allow God to finish what he has started in this election season. How Peter Obi will survive in the midst of enemies of Nigeria shouldn’t be our problem; all we need to do is vote for him and then keep praying for him to succeed and the rest is God’s job.

IdealOlive says a new Nigeria is possible! Vote for a new Nigeria, vote for Peter Obi of labour party as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Remember, majority carries the vote!

The Political Revolution Ever

It Began with Corruption

The political revolution Nigeria has ever witnessed since its Independence in 1960 has been happening since February 2022 till date and there is no going back. Before now, it has been business as usual and corruption grew from Day Care to Post Graduate level until it was finally given a PhD robe and crown. Most Nigerian politicians saw Nigeria as their farmland, private business enterprise and their personal ATM and POS machines. So there, they mine treasures and mineral resources as they like, recruit who they want and sack who goes against them and embezzle funds as they want without thinking of the damages and consequences of their actions. No accountability of any sort! Why will they care? Why will they account for anything? Do they even have conscience? Who will they give account to when if one thief leaves another thief will take over and the circle continues?

They intentionally created a system that will protect them - a system that promotes criminals and imprison the innocent people who they consider a threat to them. They are the official criminals that recruited men and woman out of the masses they have impoverished to cause chaos and spread terror in all the zones in Nigeria. A lot of monsters they created have kidnapped and killed a lot of people to please their official criminal masters or at times to force their masters to look their way for their pay after completing a particular deal. Burning of churches and places of interest, kidnapping, robbery, mysterious eating of money by animals, rapping of women in their farmlands and destruction of farmlands by cows became the order of the day.

Life Became Unbearable

The innocent people were the worst hit in this tragic drama and political nightmare. Standard of leaving kept going down and all hope seem to have been lost. Some who can no longer meet up with life’s challenges joined the bandwagon through praise singing – they started praising the criminals to sustain themselves, hence, the list of criminals continued to increase. Those who could not join the ‘moving train’ continued to work like an elephant and eat like an ant then go on their knees to disturb God for their daily needs that He has already provided. When the available churches could no longer contain those who come in to cry unto God for deliverance from their enemies and those who oppress them, more churches were built and founded; both good and bad; for people to pray more so that God will deliver his children from slavery and poverty, and for those who hijacked our God-given resources to distribute it evenly.

Aside crying to God for help, Nigerians resorted to creating jokes out of every frustrating and depressing situation just to get on by. Comedians started increasing day by day and using their God-given talents to put smiles on the faces of people. Through them, most Nigerians learnt to overcome their sadness and sorrow with jokes and laughter.

Agitations Started

Some could no longer tolerate the nonsense going on in the county as a result of bad governance but many did not have the courage to speak out. However, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu took the bull by the horn and started attacking the corrupt politicians one by one in his own way. When he started many saw him as a ranting animal and did not side with him but as time goes on, as he began to open the eyes of many and as many saw in reality what he was ranting about, they started believing him. He became a threat to the evil politicians and they started searching for him until they caught and imprisoned him for no legal charges. Meanwhile, most of his family members and IPOB members have lost their lives in that struggle.

Youths were not left out in this, in fact, they were the most marginalized. They started losing hope in education and in Nigeria, since there are no jobs waiting for them after graduation. Not only did Nigerian leaders fail when it comes to job creation but they also failed to create an enabling environment for many industrious youths to create jobs on their own. They couldn’t keep quiet any longer when they were tagged ‘lazy youths’ and when government started encroaching in their private lives through security operatives, and then ENDSARS started. Youths started agitating peacefully for their rights and yet again, the shameless politicians dared to touch the lion’s tale by killing some innocent youths whose crime was to demand for a better Nigeria.

God’s Answer Came

It is clear from the political events of February 2022 till date that God has actually answered our prayers the same way He answered the prayers of Israelites while they were in Egypt, and that answered prayer was the beginning of the political revolution. An Eagle rose from the land of the rising sun and decided to be the answer to the many years of prayer. He refused to be intimidated by the ruling gods but became the reason why Labour Party, a party without a surname and structure became a popular party in Nigeria today, and is even shaking the ruling parties.

Power of Credibility and Competence

Like most politicians whose campaigns are characterized by intimidation, stealing, kidnapping and lies of what they will do and will not do when they assume office, Peter Obi started his campaign by telling the masses what he did as a governor which every true Nigerian has testified to. He has since changed the political orientation of people through his speeches on the state of the economy and solutions to Nigeria’s problems. He has been consulting great minds and politicians of developed countries to learn their secret, yet his opponents are busy using microscope to dig up irrelevant faults from him while criminality spews out of their mouths and prints on their footsteps.

While his opponents were sharing money because that’s what they’ve got, Peter Obi was busy enlightening many Nigerians and appealing to the hearts of many. Hence many Nigerians have come to realize that they have been selling their conscience for a peanut that can only feed them a short while and throw them into a more severe poverty. Since Peter Obi emerged as a presidential candidate, many crashed hopes have been revived and many people have believed again in a better Nigeria. Before now, many people believe that politics is for the corrupt; to them, vote doesn’t count, they have already chosen the candidate to be in power and casting of vote is for formality. Therefore, so many people don’t bother to get their voter’s card and those who have will rather stay at home on the Election Day and wash dirty clothes and clean their houses. Today, many people have decided to give voting a chance because of Peter Obi.  Because of Peter Obi’s enlightenment, many people no longer believe in party politics, rather, they have come to believe that every credible or competent candidate should be voted for irrespective of the party they belong.

Still Doubting?

Though there are still people out there who still doubt, who can’t still read the handwriting on the wall, still believing that it will still be business as usual, like the doubting Thomas, they will believe when they see, so we don’t have to crucify them, as they are still afraid of what the political bullies can do. Meanwhile, the political bullies who are threatened by Peter Obi’s emergence and credibility have been busy strategizing on how to rig the election to their favour, so they can finally sell off Nigeria. They should know that it is no longer business as usual and prepare for karma and nemesis. Some of them will run to exile, some will be confined on a hospital bed battling with many deadly diseases while some will go six feet underground. Our only prayer for them should be that whether they are on exile or on a hospital bed about to die, may they endeavor to make peace with their maker before death knocks.

Knock! Knock! Who’s there?

A new Nigeria is about to be born and no one can stop it. The political bullies may empower their tugs to spread terror and scare people from coming out to vote. This is not the time to be afraid because the only weapon against them is our votes. We should rather prepare for self defense and be at alert while we go to our respective polling units to cast our votes. Nigeria of our dreams is knocking at our very doorsteps and we should do our best to give it a chance. Idealolive says: Election is around the corner, Vote Peter Obi of Labour Party as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria! So go collect your PVC now!

AN OPEN LETTER TO NIGERIAN LEADERS

To Mr. President, VP, Governors, Senators and other elected officers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

AN OPEN LETTER TO NIGERIAN LEADERS

Your Excellencies,

Congratulations on your swearing in as the President, Vice President, Governor, Senator, etc.  Your victory, just like others before you brought hope to Nigerians – the hope of true democracy and good governance, devoid of selfishness, discrimination and exploitation of citizens – hope that is yet to be realized.

Pause and sniff the Stench, it's horrible!
Nigerians have suffered for many years and are still suffering due to bad governance. We have been nicknamed ‘shithole’ because any form of rubbish is allowed here without complaint or putting up a fight; ‘burial ground’ is another adjective that qualifies Nigeria – Most of you loot our money and help in developing other countries. When you or your loved ones get sick, you travel to those countries you have helped to develop because you failed to maintain and equip the hospitals in our land, but when your loved ones die, the ‘burial ground’ will receive their dead body. You send your children to foreign schools because you have helped to mess up the standard of education in our land. I can go on and on.

Its infectious, our Youths have been Infected
The worst is that our leaders, past and present have corrupted the minds of Nigerian youths – the future leaders. It’s no longer about the reward for hard work, quality service, accountability, etc, but about greed, selfishness, popularity, power, etc. Frustration and disappointment have eaten up many destinies. Tell me, if these things don't bother you, then what? Are you not bothered about what will become of this nation when you are gone? Please don’t add to the problems already created, come up with solutions, even if that solution is to stop creating more problems.

Live and Let Live
Members of a family have their differences and so with members of the society and nation. Serve your own God and leave others to serve theirs. You have your value systems, culture, norms and traditions and so do others, so live and let live. “A brave man acknowledges the strength of others” - Veronica Roth. It is your responsibility to stop the killing of human beings by their fellow human beings and not to promote or pretend not to notice it. Nigerians cannot be fooled so please stop taking advantage of their lack of courage. “Let the kite perch and let the eagle perch too – If one says no to the other, let his wing break.” – From Chinua Achebe’s collection of proverbs.

Give Nigerians a Push and Watch us Fly
You are not in that position to manipulate, humiliate and exploit others, or see those who voted for you as useful idiots – we cannot all be in a position of power, that’s why you are there, so take your position as a responsibility and privilege, and not your right. You are in that position to create an enabling environment for Nigerians to thrive; to stop multi taxation system so that youths in entrepreneurship can thrive; to develop this nation with the abundant resources God has given us, etc. You are there to encourage productivity by reducing middlemen involved in the production/distribution chain. How can a product pass through SON, MAN, CPC, NAFDAC, etc with all their demands?  In the end, a product of N100 will be valued at N2, 000. At least help the producers and consumers by assigning a group of product to one agency, so that manufacturers/producers can make enough profit after their hard work. I’m sure there are a lot of Nigerians who have something to produce but are afraid of the many hands that will squeeze them dry from inception.

If it’s not Easy, then you are not Qualified
It is not easy to lead but you can make it easy for yourself by choosing the right people to work with – not those that only sing your praises, but those that applaud and also criticize you – those that tell you what you know is the truth. I know that in every twelve, there is always a Judas but the peace of mind which only you can seek out will help you coordinate yourself enough to identify and handle the Judases the way they should be handled. God has placed Nigerians, its states and zones in your care and what you do with them will define you, not only in Nigeria but the entire world.

Why Program our Reasoning for Perfect Crimes?
No one is perfect. Yes. Why is it easy to say that no one is perfect, yet, we commit crime and perpetuate injustice perfectly? Instead of wasting your intelligence on crime and injustice – oppressing people, siphoning public funds for your selfish gains, etc, I advise you to channel that wisdom and intelligence to meet the needs of the public, which is the reason why you are in power.

A Good Name is Better; Not so?
The wounds inflicted on Nigerians by the past and present administrations will take time to heal and even when it heals, the deeds, acts of irresponsibility and grave misconducts of the past and present leaders will remain in the records as history - even the power of oratory and favour buying will not be able to rewrite the ugly history of most of you that parade as leaders.

Was it not said that a good name is better than silver and gold? Does it cost much to have a good name? What will it profit you to gain the whole of Nigeria and have your name and image rubbished in the eyes of the majority?

Heroes do what others have not done. Why not be a hero and write your name in the hearts of Nigerians, then watch them willingly decorate Nigeria choice places with your image. Is that too much to wish for?

What’s Happy about Democracy Day?
I cannot pretend to say happy democracy day when in the actual sense there is cold war and many people are dying in silence. May God give you the needed wisdom and intelligence to govern Nigerians!

Respectfully yours,

Olive Chinyere Amajuoyi

Presidential Election 2019 – Matters Arising

Credit: Blueprint.ng

Presidential, Senate and House of Representatives election has come and gone. Nigerians indeed have decided. Yes, some decided by not going to vote, the majority who voted decide by voting either PDP or APC while other decided by rigging the election, to make sure they win, because to them, winning is a do or die affair.

In Nigeria, we are good with analyzing the effects of governance, criticizing and complaining about the problem of recycling leaders that do the same old things again and again without any positive impact, but we fail over and over again to stand by the truth whenever it is our opportunity to decide who will govern us. We are so addicted to popularity, strong political structure, reigning parties, etc that we fail to look at things the other way round to see the outcome.

Kingsley Muoghalu was right when during the presidential debate, he said that the two popular parties believe that they already have Nigerians in their cage and there is no escape. Judging by the votes cast by Nigerians, it is obvious that we are so obsessed about recycled leaders and popular parties.

The fact that APC and PDP are the stronger parties doesn’t mean that our votes must go to them; they will not flog or kill us if we try somewhere else because there is freedom of choice. The majority didn’t want to vote for other parties other than APC or PDP simply because the other parties do not have a strong political structure and are not popular; therefore, they should not waste their votes on them. They already believe that those parties will lose with the lesser votes they will get. What we don’t seem to reason out is; if we that are thinking that way decide to think and act positively, we will become the majority that will give other parties a winning vote and make them popular.

We have decided, and our choice parties have rigged the election. Here we are, at the beginning of another four years of managing our long recycled leaders, if there is something I am happy about, it is because I proved that I am not in the cage of either APC or PDP, even though my choice candidate lost, at least I have shown that I can exercise my will freely. APC and PDP do not own me and they do not own Nigeria. A soldier must go and another soldier must come.

Even from the result of our votes as listed below, the final results recognized only APC and PDP. We still have a long way to go.

Congratulations Nigeria! Long Live Nigeria! God Save Nigeria!

REV. FR. EJIKE MBAKA WARNS BUHARI TO QUIT 2019 PRESIDENTIAL RACE

The founder Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria and a Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike during early morning hours of January 1, 2018 lashed at President Buhari’s administration saying that he should not contemplate to run for a second tenure as Nigerians have experienced the worst times in his administration.

He said that Buhari will be disgraced if he dares to run for a second tenure.

Recall that before the 2015 elections, he prophesied that President Good luck Ebele Jonathan will not win the election, saying that he has turned from being a good luck to a bad luck for Nigerians. Here he comes again with another bombshell saying that Buhari will be disgraced if he dares run for a second tenure. Nevertheless, this is a New Year message and it was delivered before legion of worshipers at his adoration ground in Emene, Enugu, Nigeria.

Read below the record of the message as published on Daily Post of January 1, 2018.

I had wanted to pray for you and go because I don’t want anybody to attack me; I don’t want the Bishop to invite me; I don’t want politicians to attack me anywhere. But God forced me, you must say it. Listen to me. 2017 became one of the most horrible years in this country and that is the message.

The Lord says, Nigerians, he says, captive Nigerians, you will be speedily rescued; Nigerians, things are very very difficult, hard and tough nowadays; the hardship is not from God, they are manmade; the wicked cabals and satanic agents in this country have wickedly kidnapped the goodwill and good intentions of Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari; his good intentions have been kidnapped; President Buhari must wake up and sit up immediately or…heaven demands him, heaven demands Buhari, our President to change all those who are holding and caging him in captivity; if he will not change them, he will be changed; Mr. President wake up; sit up; God said you are toying with the privilege given to you; there is no time; Nigerians are dying in your hand; people are not happy with your system. Change or you will be changed; God said that Buhari is in trouble; Buhari is hypnotized; Buhair is in a horrible bondage; Buhari’s mantra has been canibalized. Unless President Buhari quickly and strategically, positions the right people and changes the former ones he inaugurated by him, the wind of change that he himself inaugurated will blow him away shamefully. The wind will be too strong that Mr. President and the cabal will be blown out of office shamefully. The wind will be irresistible for it will come like a hurricane. Buhari can handle this problem but number one, his office, if he is not careful, another will take.

Number 2, if he is doesn’t want to move Nigeria forward, God says He himself will plan a strategy of moving Nigeria forward. His pattern of embattling corruption is not just archaic, barbaric but is witch-hunting, terribly selective. Mr. Buhari as the President, why should you be picking and choosing those that you and your so-called EFCC man would want to arrest, so that your party becomes a hideout for criminals, so that any person who does not want to be arrested will become an APC person? Is that corruption on itself?

Change or you will be changed, after all you are the one who introduced change as your mantra. Nigerian economy is in shambles and Nigerians are in sorrow. Nigeria is not just passing through an economic depression but also it is a time of economic repression and compression. Very soon, Nigerians will know that the country is in terrible mess. The cabals have messed up the President and confused him. So, Mr. President, you are to be blamed, not your cabals. You have your brooms, but the cabals have their bags; either you sweep them away or they throw you into the bag. Heaven cried that your methodology is not just archaic but too sluggish., very slow. The situation in Nigeria needs speed but you are too dull.

Your change mantra is questionable; you are to change your change or you will be disgraced out of office. Your agriculture scheme has an anti-agenda that is cancerous. Why should be talking about agriculture and you leave the Fulani herdsmen? Farmers don’t have hope; don’t you hear what is happening in the country? Can’t you use your presidential mandate and help the less privileged? The spirit of God says that Mr. President is just president in the mouth; he is not the real president per say; he is a pseudo president, people are running the government the way they like and giving him to articles to sign; Mr. President doesn’t know what is happening in his government, what a pity. But no matter what is happening, God assured us that Nigerians and Nigeria are not just in His hands but in his heart and his eyes.

Mr president tried his best to war against insurgency, he tried to stop excessive spending, living in opulence, he is an expert in stopping opulent life, swindling of government property but the way he is going after it, he is too slow. God loves him and gave him the mandate, he wanted to fight corruption but corruption is fighting him back, so that anyone who wants to perform corruption in a very smart way, will run into APC. Mr President wake up, save destiny and save your integrity. God said that the sitting President is not the one Nigerians trusted, wake up. There are areas the President started doing well before he became sick; anybody can become sick, don’t rejoice because Mr. President is sick; we prayed and God granted him healing but you know that age is not on his side. Even if you are healthy but you are not strong, there will be problem.

So, Mr. President, as I was waiting on the Lord, I’m asked to advise you, don’t come out for 2nd tenure, after this, retire peacefully. Mr. President you are the cause of your own problem. God gave you an adviser, a wonderful mentor, a visionist, a matriarch, in the person of your wife, Aisha, but you don’t want to listen to her, that woman is heartbroken; because she understood that you are not yourself. Come back to yourself or you will cry by the time you will be sent out of office. So, those who are encouraging you to come out and run again, they want to disgrace you shamefully and publicly.

We keep on praying for your quick recovery but you know when the President is sick and age is not on his side, the message came, that is why the government schools are sick, the government hospitals are sick, the government roads are sick; power, electricity, sick, the economy is sick; unemployment becomes the order of the day, our graduates, our youths are living in abject poverty and hopelessness, the countrymen are sick, hunger is ravaging ravaging the people of God; investors have no more confidence in Nigeria. The agro-vision has become a mere illusion; even to take loan for farm has become the favour of the rich, so that as you keep on fighting corruption, many who are around you are incubating and manuring corruption. Business men are confused; because they don’t know to do as a result of the unstable economy.

Some of us may begin to ask, but why did God choose Buhari at all? God has His reasons; when he chose Saul, He had His reasons, but at a time he rejected Saul, that is God for you. Jesus chose Judas, in His divinity he chose Judas as an Apostle, the same Judas betrayed Him and Judas office another took; you can see the message is not sweet. The same God chose Jonathan, Goodluck, during the oil boom, had Jonathan invested well, then Nigerians won’t be suffering what we are suffering now; even in his hometown Otuoke, go to Niger Delta, there was no impact of governance, nothing. That’s why God pushed him out. Mr. President, if you don’t want to be pushed out, you have to wake up. So, God who chose Buhari, it is for a purpose. At a particular time in the life of Jonah, the whale swallowed him; at time Jonah could not prophesy, he could not do his prophetic duty again; that is how Buhari’s vision was swallowed.

And then what shall be done. God doesn’t make mistake. When God said Buhari will become the President, he became the president; when God decided to put Adam and Eve in paradise, he loved them, but at a time, the same God chased them out. So, the cabal thing, Mr. President Nigerians are getting disappointed in you; I was thinking of the kind of prayer we are going to share, because this year is a year of primary for all the parties. Some will start this year, I am not talking about PDP or APC, I’m praying God to give us a man after His heart. Now, it is the turn of the Northerners, the Northerners will complete their eight years. If mr president, Buhari will not continue, if you go to Gombe, go to Gombe, it was a rural state, the present Governor there, Ibrahim Hassan, has turned that place into almost an ultra modern city and that man was a former accountant general of the country. If you go to Gombe, you won’t know Gombe again; why can’t such a person come out; I don’t know the party he is in; and he is still a young man; in his early 50s, whether in PDP or APC I don’t know but whoever is doing that kind of magic in Gombe can handle Nigeria. A man who did Phd in accountancy, chartered in marketing, chartered in accountancy, a lot of things, a guru, we need somebody with such aura. And the Gombe people will tell you, he does not discriminate between Muslims and Christians, he is shielding even Christians there. Some pastors he gave them land, gave land for churches. I am not campaigning for him, but I am talking about somebody who can lead us forward, somebody with vision, with agenda, to change Nigeria is not difficult; wherever such a person is, let his party make him available for Nigerians to see it.

Before it will be the turn of the Igbos, it is not yet our turn, it will soon be our turn, when it is our turn, all of us will talk about it.

Therefore my people, we are talking about value chain economy; healthy economy; security in the country, employment, educational system that is working, then God disclosed a time when most of our run-away Nigerians started coming home. A time is coming when Nigerian is going to be a country that is worthy for investment, investors will come from the North, South and East, from foreign countries to invest in Nigeria; at that time, the people can see that the government of Nigeria and the pattern of governance is our problem. God has given Nigerians everything and He says, ‘Nigerians be patient with me.’ It will not take time I will begin to deal wickedly to those who are dealing wickedly to you people. Those who are punishing you, I will punish.

In Nigeria today, there is the hidden tribal religious and interdenominational wars that are looming. God is promising that He will send a credible President that will handle the unity of the country not by shooting anybody but by preventing the occurrence; even if the person is in a no party; whether the person is in PDP, PDP is not bad; it is the same people that go to APC: drop their umbrella and pick broom, but instead of using the broom to sweep away corruption, they are using it to sweep money into their pockets. So, those who love Mr. President don’t be angry; from the same pulpit where his dynasty was prophesied, the wind is blowing again. When God says, ‘His office let another take, then Nigeria will move forward, and corruption will be adequately embattled in the proper sense, then he economy will improve and Nigerians will rejoice.

Many families will be visited by the spirit of death, so the people of God are encouraged to soak themselves in the blood of Jesus Christ. The secret of victory over this spirit of death is continuous indwelling in the blood of the lamb.

Colonial Shoes Doesn’t Fit

Before the colonial masters came into Nigeria and turned things upside down, different regions or tribe were managing their own affairs peacefully. Their coming brought a lot of positive change actually like stopping the killing of twins. Even if that was the only good thing they came along with, I must say that I am happy they came.
It is normal in this world for one person to influence another, people to influence other people, nation to influence other nations, etc. This influence however, depends on who is being affected. If I admire and am understudying someone, it is my responsibility to copy those qualities in that person that is relevant to me, do away with mine that are irrelevant and ignore those qualities in that person that are not relevant to my purpose. But Nigeria’s case is different. We copied almost their lifestyle and are gradually doing away with our culture. Their most precious culture, which is timeliness, we overlooked. After many years of independence, Nigeria still staggers in the shoes of its colonial masters, their shoes that don’t fit us.
Why are we still struggling in colonial shoes; the shoes they are no longer forcing us to wear? It is true that colonialism left a confused country, civilian unfriendly polity, elite based economy, nepotism fuelled bureaucracy, Victorian era legal systems, and a god-father political system but we are not foolish to continue with all their fragments. We have the will to take the ones relevant to us and do away with the rest. If it is easy for us to copy them, then it should be easier for us to weigh the effects and come to a reasonable conclusion after 57 years of independence.
Postcolonial governments had the opportunity of pulling down the colonial structures and starting afresh but they were busy fighting religious and personal wars, and dragging among themselves who should wear the colonial shoes; the shoes they ought to reexamine, to figure out how it can fit. For instance, they could have redrawn the national maps, questioned and renegotiated the basis for uniting the three tribes that are distinct from each other, etc. They were so eager to step in and enjoy power that they sold their values. This of course gave birth to the bloody civil war, genocides, coups and counter coups that followed independence.
The clock for restructuring is still ticking. It is not too late to fix things. Many things have gone wrong that it will be very difficult at this time to pull down the existing structures and erect a new one but it is better done than not. If this country must survive, something different must take place and that is restructuring.

NIGERIANS ARE GULLIBLE

Nigeria is such a nation of people with fairy tale ideology. An average Nigeria easily gets carried away by false hope. Election period is fast approaching and politicians will soon come up with their heart melting manifesto that blows wind of hope to the masses; the wind of hope that tends to make them lose their reasoning faculty.

During the campaign for 2015 elections, President Muhammadu Buhari promised Nigeria everything that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan could not offer Nigerians. He said that his government will end Bokko Harram terrorism, improve the value of our currency over Dollar, create employment, etc. But till date, his government has done nothing but blame the past administration each time it is faced with criticism. A grounded leader ought not to blame anybody for leadership failure. Buhari knows that Nigerians are so gullible that is why he came up with magical manifesto to buy their votes and he succeeded. Buhari’s administration have since then continued to give false hope like: he inherited a huge debt, soon enough Nigeria will be out of recession and things will be better, Nigeria is out of recession already, etc. They want to continue to cajole Nigerians into believing what does not exist. By now, Nigerians ought to have learnt so many lessons that will teach them to think before acting, but instead, they keep on recycling their mistakes.

Even in the religious sector, we trust everything that comes from the priests without thinking. We don’t seem to understand that we are in democracy and not theocracy. We don’t seem to understand the seasons. We believe that after prayers, manna will fall from heaven for us to feed on, and perhaps God will automatically cause our leaders to turn from their wicked ways and govern us right. Meanwhile, the more we hope and pray, things continue to get worse.
It’s high time we equip our intellectual faculty and fight for our right as Nigerians. Didn’t the word of God say faith without works is dead? Why are we still been deceived by the theologians? We still believe and live in the world of fairy tale despite crashed hopes. It is time for us to accept the fact that so much has gone wrong in Nigeria and we cannot be liberated from the effects of such wrongs without practicing our theories. If we keep saying it is well without working it out to be well, then it will never be well. The man who prays all day without finding what his hands can do to do it, will die of hunger because God Himself said that He will prosper the works of our hands. Nigeria has laws and principles and if they are not put in practice, we will remain where we are; struggling and pretending that it will be alright. If those laws and principles are not good enough, then let them revisited because they were made by man. Nigerians have had enough of jingoistic metaphors, from Nigerian politicians and leaders to confused and tired Nigerians whose minds and brain are confused to the extent that they easily believe everything without reasoning.
Let us for once stop giving God job to do. He has created us and also created everything we need to take care of ourselves. He cannot come down and speak against evil, interpret our laws for us, do the farm work, the pharmaceutical work, building work, carpentry work, fashion and designing work, etc. We need to reason with the brain he has given us and come up with a workable solution. It is a shame that most of our schools, hospitals, etc built by the colonial masters are in bad shape and we find it difficult to renovate them at our age. On daily basis we only hope and pray that it will get better this year and that year but instead it gets worse, yet we are ignorant of the cause.
It is strange to know that at this information age, many Nigerians still find words to justify a government of hate, vengeance and tribalism just because they are getting some peanuts that they will yet vomit in due time. It will take a radical re-organization to enlighten Nigerians and encourage growth and development in Nigeria and this cannot be achieved by mere theories. Ayo Sogunro puts it this way, “radical re-organization and reform will not be achieved just by faith. In fact, it requires a healthy dose of skepticism”.

International Relations: The Nigerian Factor

Does size count?

Recently, I traveled to my home town to feel the breeze of a village atmosphere. In our compound we have some domestic animals and I love watching them display their skills. A particular fowl caught my attention. Its two legs are bent front wards making it walk with its knees, which are behind. The interesting thing is that this local fowl, which is small, fights the big agricultural fowls to enable it eat as much as it can. The bigger fowls have to think twice before coming close to eat the food that is kept for them because they are afraid of what this small disabled local fowl will do to them. Funny, isn’t it?

Is it by Size or the Content?

International politics shouldn’t be on the basis of size or population. It should be about the wisest, smartest and the strongest. International relation is the relationship that exists between states, non-governmental organizations, multinational co operations, etc. It calls for the need to address the mutual relationship among the various entities in the international community. Nigeria was a founding member of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and has oftentimes channeled major policy initiatives through that organization. As the most populous country in Africa, with population of about 186 million, Nigeria is one of the most visible African states in the international community. Nigeria was seen as the Giant of Africa because of its strength and resources and therefore was expected to play a big brother role in its relations with other African countries. Nigeria has thrived to play this role in the time past as the giant it was known for and is still playing this role in the recent times, but on a maintenance, cover up and defense capacity. Nigeria ought by now to quit relying on its size that makes it the giant but to concentrate on adding value to its size. Other African countries are coming up and there is no law that mandates them to keep bowing down to a Goliath with empty threats, who was defeated after all by David’s sling.

Can we take the bull by the horn?

Nigeria’s international relations is guided by certain principles which are spelt out in section 19 of the 1999 constitution; but like all other laws and guiding principles, they are just theories and are not being put in practice.

One of the guiding principles is the Promotion and protection of national interest. From the look of things in Nigeria, selfish interest is rather being promoted. Ignorant Nigerians sing praises to their lords who do nothing but seek every possible means of diverting public funds for their private ambitions. An Igbo adage says: “The one whose house is on fire does not pursue rats”. Between African nations, Nigeria ought to be in the fore front in terms of International politics, it is expected, but she should first promote and protect its national interest. Nigeria’s pride and reputation is at stake in international relations and politics and need to be redeemed. Nigerian youths are running away from this country, not for international relations purposes but to run away from unending struggles; which exposes them to more dangers. Yet, Nigeria thinks they are fit to interfere in international politics or matters. A country; whether Nigeria or another, where official armed robbers, thieves, kidnappers and murderers arrest, prosecute and sentence to death the unofficial ones is not fit yet to feature in international politics.

How many errors can we cover?

Consequently, another principle is the promotion of African integration and support for African unity. Any African country that has failed in promoting the integration of its tribes is not fit to interfere in the matters of African integration. Presently, Nigeria is thriving in the leadership of hate, vengeance and discrimination. Nigerian politicians smile and open their palms to everyone, irrespective of tribe, only when election is approaching. After the elections, all favours and considerations go to the domain fraction of the government in power. Presently, Nigerian government in power is bent on giving major national appointments to those from his national fraction, who he believes are the wisest. What good can this leadership contribute to the promotion of African integration or to support African unity? Recently, President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed that all Africans wishing to visit Kenya be issued with Visas, Rwanda is doing the same. Where is Nigeria? While Nigerians are busy living in their past glories, priding under the weight of giant of Africa, other African countries are busy strategizing to take the lead.

Peace is very costly

Moreover, Promotion of international cooperation for the consolidation of universal peace and mutual respect among all nations, and elimination of discrimination in all its manifestation is another guiding principle. Nigeria has enormous resources and great manpower, enough to stand out in international relations but her leaders, past and present has failed her again and again. With all the money embezzled by Nigerian leaders, looted out of the shores of Nigeria, and used to build idle castles and empires; both known and unknown to the citizens, Nigeria should be rubbing shoulders with America and Europe if those funds were put to good use, but this is not the case. Our leaders travel to the developed countries so often, with their entourage, to make the outside world believe that it is okay when in fact it is far from being okay. They travel for conferences, vacation, and funny enough for proper medical treatment and education, which they have denied those they govern. For these reasons and more, Nigerian’s hope of being among the top participants in international relations is far from being realized.

It’s not by Words

On the other hand, there is “respect for international law and treaty obligations as well as the seeking of settlement of international disputes by negotiation, mediation, conciliation, arbitration and adjudication” in Nigeria’s guiding principle of international relations. How can Nigeria achieve these with leadership of theories? Where were all these grammar of negotiation, mediation, conciliation, arbitration and adjudication when IPOB were agitating for referendum? What happened to those grammars in the case of Niger Delta insurgency? Have our leaders been able to address the Fulani herdsmen war against the indigenes of the communities they parade freely to feed their cows? What about the deadly Boko Haram sect? All these matters are being treated or handled sentimentally, and based on favoritism and selfishness; so how can we solve the similar issues as relates to Africa and international community?

Is this realistic?

I am sure that the remaining guiding principle which is that of “Promotion of a just world economic order” will not be realistic for Nigerians as long as the Sharia or Islamic banking system is in place.  The Islamic banking system is a religious financial system and in Nigeria and the world at large, there is no one religion. With it in place, Nigeria cannot boast of her ability to promote a just world economic order. To be able to promote a just world economic order, a country’s economic system ought to be free from any religious, ethnic/tribal, etc bias.

Yes we can

It’s high time Nigeria stop boasting about size and start working on improving its manpower through quality, consistent education and creating enabling environment that encourages investment and development. Our foreign policy should be geared towards promotion of our cultural image and dignity, then, Nigerians shall be fit to compete with the international community. It is achievable today if we stick to the laws of Nigeria without prejudice and selfishness.
