Atiku Woos Ekweremadu, Soludo, Adesina, Obi as Running Mate

In order to beat INEC’s deadline for the submission of names of parties’ candidates as running mate, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has begun search for his running mate.

In his search, he has the following candidates in his consideration list:
1.  The deputy Senate president, Senator Ike Ekweremadu
2.  Former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Charles Soludo
3. Former minister of agriculture and rural development, Dr. Akinwunmi  Adesina
4. Former managing director of Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), Chike Obi
5.  Former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi,

Atiku's consideration is on the grounds that he is contending with powers stronger than him, and to come out victorious, his running mate has to be a person that can command the majority, hence, a candidate that can cool the nerves of the South Easterners and also appeal to the minds of the youths has to be that person. One thing is to make the right moves to win in a fight and have the cheering of a crowd; another is to keep the crowd cheering after the triumph.

The question now is: What difference is he coming to make in Nigerian politics? Will he continue the old story where President Buhari and others before him has left off or is he coming to make things right? Is he coming for war; to protect the interest of those that are his against others, or for peace; to fight the good fight for the interest of all Nigerians? Will his choice of a running mate be for him to work with the person as a team for the interest of Nigerians, or just to use the person as a trap to capture more Nigerians in his voting trap? These and many more are the questions Nigerians should get clarifications about before casting their votes come 2019.

Nigeria deserves a positive change and ideal olive says please #VoteWisely.
