ALL SAINTS NIGHT OF PRAISE WITH FRANK EDWARDS AND MERCY CHINWO

Frank Edwards on Stage

It was with great expectation that people trooped into All Saints Anglican Church Auditorium on Friday April 27, 2018 to worship the Almighty God. The All night of praise began as Rev. Chibuikem Amaefuna kindled the fire of praise in the lives of the expectant crowd. He made them to understand from the scriptures that the purpose of the gathering is to worship God. He led the worshipers through with some worship songs and declared the programme started after the opening prayers.

The host gospel band of All Saints took off from there, leading in praises and worship, and then prayers for families, Nigeria as a nation and the Nigerian Youths. Mr. Ogochukwu Ugwu, a youth member took his time to describe what worship is not and what exactly worship is. He said that worship is not a mood of seriousness and frowning of face to act sober or holy, as has been misinterpreted by many but it entails doing everything to the glory of God, with the consciousness that God is in us.
Mercy Chinwo on Stage

Gospel singer and actress, Chinwe Owoh was thereafter ushered to the podium and she really did justice to her time, as she led the worshippers to experience praise and worship to the Almighty God. The time spent with her was ecstatic.

The long awaited moment finally came and the gospel singer, Frank Edwards was ushered to the podium and everyone felt the atmosphere of worship. He encouraged the youths and told them not to believe anybody that tells them that they are the leaders of tomorrow because leadership is not by age. He advised them to be youths that are not ashamed of the bible and urged them to always dress as they would love to be addressed. He told the youths that Jesus is the only way to God’s blessings which last forever, and which makes rich and adds no sorrow.
Frank Edwards on Stage

Speaking further, he advised the youths not to copy evil people or things they see on screens, as they are mere fantasies and not realities. He further encouraged them not to join any secret cult and that if any of them has already joined, he or she should get out of it. He said that his mother usually calls him, to caution him not to join Illuminati or any secret cult and he had assured her that it will not happen.

He narrated his encounter with Barr Obienu, a member of the church, who was the reason behind the programme. He said that Barr Obienu approached him at the airport and asked if he was Frank Edwards, and thereafter told him how listening to his songs aided his recovery after brain surgery. He said that the reason for his coming was that Barr Obienu urged him to come and minister in All Saints Church, GRA, Enugu.
Frank Edwards on Stage

Frank Edwards went radical as he stepped down from the podium and danced gracefully round the pews, along with children and youths. His style of ministration was infectious and I think I contacted, and felt like waxing my own song. Mehn! He sang for a long time; Mercy Chinwo too, at her time of ministration, yet, not on influence of drugs. He has become a famous musician, yet, not a member of Illuminati or any secret cult. I wonder where many musicians got the idea that they need drugs to perform vigorously to thrill their audience. or where they got the idea that they must belong to Illuminati or any secret cult to become famous. Those were lies to deceive the cowards who do not believe in themselves, those who could not stay connected with their source; God their maker.

After ministration, the Vicar of All Saints Anglican Church, GRA, Ven. Arinze Egemba prayed for Frank Edwards and encouraged him to stay focused and connected to our Lord Jesus Christ, as it is not easy for people like him to overcome the distractions and remain focused.

Ideal Olive was at All Saints Anglican Church GRA, Enugu to experience the worship. It was an experience of rhapsody in a melodious atmosphere.

NIGERIAN YOUTHS ARE LAZY, UNEDUCATED; REALLY?

Useful seeds, plants, grass or vegetables find it very difficult to grow or thrive on a thorny, stony and muddy land but irrelevant seeds, grasses, plants or vegetables thrive, even blossom and flourish on any land. Can a Cydad tree produce orange fruit? How far can the youths go in a country where the fortunate ones, who became fortunate by intimidation and corruption, are suffocating the less fortunate ones who are the majority? What do Nigerian leaders expect from the youths in a country that they have completely messed up? What did our past and present leaders invent or produce when things were better off in Nigeria, and when they were youths? They were busy chasing shadows, they were busy dragging positions in order to loot and embezzle public funds, they were busy working for their own selfish gains, and now they expect magic.

President Muhammadu Buhari had described a lot of Nigerian youths as uneducated and lazy, meaning that they sit and expect manner to fall and keep falling from heaven for them. We agree with him actually but in a different way. A lot of Nigerian youths are very busy doing something but achieving nothing; they are busy inventing and creating things but people around them who should encourage and promote their inventions consider those needless; they are busy working hard only to spend their income to pay high rent, service and fuel their generators which they must use because of incessant power failure, service and fuel their kekes, taxis and buses which always break down because of bad roads, yes; they are very busy but achieving less at the end of the day, because as soon as they open a shop to do one thing or the other, tax collectors; either genuine or fake will give them reason not to continue.

Yes, a lot of Nigerian youths are lazy and uneducated; can I tell you why? They are products of the curriculum made by educated fools; curriculum that took no cognizance of the cultures and values of Nigerians, but that of their colonial masters; Curriculum that only prepared them to speak grammar and cram what the whites have invented instead of how to invent their own; a curriculum that taught them to cram the botanical or scientific names of plants and not the value or importance of those plants; they are the product of the curriculum that taught them that if they cannot speak English very well, they are illiterates, meanwhile Innocent Chukwuma, the founder and CEO of Innoson motors, who have invented many things, and who swims in millions, lectures young entrepreneurs using murdered English, yet many graduates; including masters degree holders cue up to be employed by him.

Yes, a lot of Nigerian youths are lazy and uneducated; can I tell you why? It is because they are products of busy parents who hustle from morning to night to make ends meet, because ‘things are hard’, while their children were left to live life as they please. Such parents rather make money to bribe the proprietors of their children, to keep promoting them until they graduate, than discipline them to learn. The so called lazy Nigerian youths are products of 'greedy and selfish, unqualified but yet employed lecturers' who rather take bribe from their students or have sex with them and pass them, rather than give them adequate knowledge they deserve.

A lot of Nigerian youths are lazy and uneducated because they are products of a lot of ‘Men of God’ who prophesy from their altars asking their gullible members to ‘receive it’ without actually teaching them how to work hard to ‘create it’, as God expects. A lot of Nigerian youths are lazy because they resorted to prayers in order to solve the problems created by their families and Nigerian leaders, instead of balancing their prayers with creative thinking and productivity.

Yes, a lot of Nigerian youths are lazy and uneducated; can I tell you why? This is because a lot of politicians, past and present leaders see them as irrelevant tools to be used as thugs, hired killers, and their errand boys and girls to commit all manner of evil; they are lazy and uneducated because due to limited factories and industries where they can work, they are available to grace the beds of Nigerian politicians and top public office holders, as sugar daughters and sugar boys, while the idiots who ought to be elders maintain their honorable positions and self esteem. Yet, most Nigerian youths have navigated these hurdles and rough terrains of Nigerian economy to prove themselves worthy and brought honour to our nation Nigeria.

Let President Buhari’s words not provoke Nigerian youths, instead, it should challenge them to think, create, innovate and be productive. How? You may ask. We know it is not easy. But we encourage the youths to get out of the streets; instead of hawking goods under the sun and rain, with little profit to take care of their numerous needs, they should learn a trade instead. If you don’t have the money to pay and learn a trade of your choice, make friend with an established wood worker, fashion designer, electrician, farmers etc. Request to work for them for free, if they refuse, look for another, until you get what you want. Run errands for them and learn what they do. If you find those who can pay you, better. When you think you have learnt enough to start your own, thank them and go and start small then grow big. It will seem uneasy until you make a move, then you will find out that it is easy.

Nigerian youths who are used or abused by politicians and top public office holders should know that they are wasting their youth. It is time they say no to their slave masters and find out ways to be free, and get a good life to secure their future. They shouldn’t continue to sell their entire future just for a stipend. Your evil masters and mistresses will pamper and shower you with gifts today, so they can use you to achieve their evil desires, but tomorrow, they will also be the ones to condemn you when you are found out, so that you don’t implicate them, why then are you destroying your life? You are the one exposing yourself to danger, you are the one fighting for their promotion, you are the one who look like the criminal and you are the one always hiding, while your slave masters and mistresses are applauded for doing exploits, they cruise around and enjoy their freedom and vocation while you gallivant in darkness; who is the loser? Who is fooling who?

It is obvious that our families and the society have disappointed us, but should we also disappoint ourselves? God is waiting for us to come and receive guidance and direction, to become creative and productive, so that we can surprise those who see us as illiterates and idlers. It is not too late to be useful. It is not too late to take off the garment of laziness and illiteracy they have forced down on us. This is the time to get a life.

President Buhari’s Declaration: Any Better Rival?

General election in Nigeria is fast approaching and many politicians are warming up to take their stand; to be voted for, to vote, to rig the election or to engage in one form of diabolic activity or the other, etc., in order to win election, or make sure their person wins. President Muhammadu Buhari has declared his intention to run again come 2019 and no law can stop him. We can only criticize his move to contest but cannot stop him.

Ideal Olive gathered that President Buhari declared his intention to seek re-election at the closed-door meeting of the National Executive Council, NEC, meeting at the national Secretariat of the APC in Abuja. According to him, he was responding to the clamor by Nigerians to re-contest in 2019. He can as well ignore the clamor if he so wishes, but he chose to succumb; he was not forced.

We admit that President Buhari’s administration achieved much in the area of fight against corruption but we cannot fail to say that that fight was greatly marred by hate, tribalism and sectionalism among others. In addition to that, a lot of discrepancies surround his administration that many Nigerians have been in doubt about his intentions; the mystery behind the adoption of Chibok and Dapchi school girls. Why was it easy for the President to recover the Dapchi girls, though one is still in the captive of the so called boko haram, but not the case for Chibok girls? If the confession of Mama Boko Haram is true as it seemed, then the release of the Dapchi girls is not to be credited to Buhari’s administration. Recall that ideal olive earlier reported about an interview involving Mama Boko Haram, as regards the activities of Boko Haram and the release of Dapchi school girls. What about the herdsmen killings which intensified in Buhari's administration, and which the federal government or the presidency has been handling lackadaisically and nonchalantly? President Buhari’s administration indeed has a lot of question mark, but then, this does not alter the fact that he is coming for a second term.

The heat of the President’s declaration has generated a lot of controversy; people have been thinking of what Nigeria will be like in another four years of Buhari’s administration, when the country is yet to come of the nightmares of mass killings and burials, abject poverty and hunger in the name of recession, etc. that his present administration has thrown Nigeria into. The past leaders on the other hand have been in the business of criticism; either constructive or destructive, to make sure his second term agenda is ruined.

The problem at hand is not the president’s declaration to run in 2019 for a second term neither is it whether he will be voted for or not but who is fit to compete with him. Who is better than Buhari among other past leaders that are also popping out their ugly heads to rule Nigeria come 2019? Are they not all the same? We admit that Buhari is not fit to rule Nigeria for another four years from 2019 but who can take the mantle from him?

Among Nigeria’s numerous problems which are insecurity, corruption, unemployment, poor infrastructures, incessant power failures, mismanagement of public funds, etc., who is fit to solve at least half? It is not about wanting to answer president, it is about service and who is ready to render this service? If such a person did not emerge to be voted for or emerge and win the election, then voting President Buhari out is not an achievement. Until we find such a person of integrity as a nation and encourage him, we are still where we are. Meanwhile, as Nigerians, we have the power to fish out and support such leaders among us; that is, if we can deal with I, and focus on WE.

CHILD DEFILEMENT – SOME HUMANS ARE DEMONS

It has become alarming the rate at which adults rape children including toddlers these days. Will there ever be any reason acceptable for this demonic act? It has become so rampant that journalists and bloggers get busy with horrible stories associated with it. Most men are really demons.

According to Vanguard Newspaper of August 23, 2017, one David Ajai, a 53 years old man called his neighbors’ 8 years old daughter into his room in the pretext of sending her on an errand, and there, defiled her.

Punch Newspaper on January 22, 2018 published the case of Michael Moyo of Zimbabwe, 83 years old grandfather who raped his 12 years old granddaughter. The most annoying thing is that he had the guts to give an ear-itching reason that it was not his fault, as his granddaughter begged for it.

Vanguard Newspaper reported on February 3, 2018 the case of 13-year-old girl who was raped by eight men including an Imam in Kaduna state.  According to the report, the victim is said to be five months pregnant with twins.

Pulse published on March 14, 2018 the case of an Imam in Uganda who sexually abused a 2 years old girl and damaged her private part. The report had it that Musa carried the child into his room and put her on his laps. Guess what was his annoying reason for defiling this toddler? His trouser zipper opened by itself as soon as he placed her on his laps – cock and bull story.

On March 16, 2018, Dailypost reported the case of Sani, a 50 years old man who raped his neighbor’s 3 years old daughter to death in Katsina State. It was reported that Sani lured the victim to a nearby uncompleted building, closed her mouth and raped her.

National Helm reported on March 24, 2018 the case of a man who caught a 36 years old man putting his hand inside the private part of his 6 months old daughter. The report had it that the baby’s father did not bother reporting the matter to the police but took laws into his own hands and cut off the leg of the 36 years old man.

There are other such incidents or even worse, without eye witnesses and which were not reported. The question now is: What is the punishment for this inhuman act? It is good that life imprisonment has been penned down as the punishment, but is it actually being implemented. In fact, Ideal Olive suggests in addition to life imprisonment, the cutting off of their penis because they are demons. This will teach others to resist that demon that tries to possess them.

Some researchers may have come up with psychological reasons for child defilement; one of which is the fact that this category of men who defile children may have been molested or were sexually abused when they were young, but is this really a good reason? We don’t think so; in fact it is no reason because much more women were sexually abused or defiled when they were young and they don’t go about raping and defiling little boys. Why are they not possessed by the same demon? We agree that this crime is also associated with women but it is  very rare compared to that of men.

This feature did not even cover the rape cases that happens every now and again, of which women are the victims. That one is another broad topic on its own. It is terrible.

Parents should please start from childhood to discipline and teach their sons manners. Moral lessons are not meant for women alone. They should make sure their sons also learn the proper manners so that they can grow with it. We were taught to teach our children the way they should go so that when they grow old, they will not depart from it. That is the right thing to do to stop this madness. Parents should also start early to take their children on sex education to enable them raise alarm whenever any beast is about to defile them. The fact that toddlers are also victims should compel parents to keep watch over their infants and make sure they don’t move away from their focus. What about defilement cases involving fathers, grandfathers and uncles we may ask? This is an eye opener for mothers to take up their cross. Mothers please be vigilant and let us save our children from demons.

Ideal Olive appeals to the judiciary and law enforcement agencies to make sure that this category of people does not go unpunished. In addition to life imprisonment, their penis should be cut off to serve as deterrent to others. It doesn’t matter who is involved, let the law take its course before it gets out of hand.

BOKO HARAM STARTED WITH MY SON – MAMA BOKO HARAM

In a recent interview with AIT involving Aisha Wakil popularly known as Mama Boko Haram, she revealed that the so named Boko Haram started with her son and ever since, many factions of boko haram has been formed.

Mama book haram revealed that when her son joined his mates to attend Islamic teaching class where they were taught about Islam religion, that she was happy with her son, unknown to her that a dangerous gang is about to be born. She said that her son came home one day after their Islamic lessons and told her that there is going to be a war. After interrogating him, the son only told her that he is involved and that the reason for the war is because the government disappointed their group. She said that her son refused to say anything more on the issue pending when his group sees the governor of the state.

According to Mama Boko Haram, she made effort to discourage her son from that group but the son disappeared without trace and that was the last time she saw or spoke with him.  However, she said she has been in touch with boko haram and knows their whereabouts. She said that they told her that they want peace but they don’t know what their fate will be when they come out to put an end to their violent activities, as the politicians they are working for might have them killed.

Mama boko haram further revealed that according to the boko haram sect, there are other more violent groups whose motives for killing is different from the group that started the war with government. She said that the group that communicates with her is only fighting for justice and against government for betraying them, but the real boko haram sect are fighting and killing because they are against western education, and to defend their Islamic faith. This has caused a lot of confusion in the country, as nobody actually knows which group carries out the bombings and killings that have been going on, she said.

Meanwhile, ideal Olive gathered from the interview that the group that talks with mama boko haram is responsible for the Dapchi girls kidnap. She said they contacted her as usual and told her that the same politicians asked them to kidnap the girls and when she queried further to find out exactly who asked them to do so, they refused to open up. She thereafter begged them not to harm the girls and also asked them to release those girls.

This whole drama in Nigeria looks like some mythical story. Will this unbelievable drama ever going to end? It is obvious from this interview that Nigeria is trapped in a political labyrinth by its dubious and greedy politicians. From the look of things, we are not far from the solution because Aisha Wakil alias mama boko haram have said it all. She can be the key to unraveling this mystery, but is that what those principalities and powers behind this want? Who are those enslaving this blessed nation? Your guess is as good as mine.

ENUGU ANGLICAN EASTER RALLY 2018

Enugu Anglican Easter Rally

One of the remarkable events that make Easter exciting is Easter Rally tagged Victory March, which takes place every Easter Monday. Enugu Anglican Diocese of the Church of Nigeria has held on to this rally for many tears now uninterrupted and this year’s Victory march is indeed as victorious as that of other years.

Ideal Olive witnessed the march which started from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, Asata, Enugu after a summary of the sacrifices Jesus made to save mankind and His victorious resurrection. The homily includes the declaration that Jesus did really die and resurrected on the third day as He foretold the people then.

Enugu Anglican Easter Rally
Cathedral Church of the Good shepherd marched out first with songs of praise and victory, followed by All Saints Anglican Church, GRA, Enugu; Other Churches followed, Archdeaconry by Archdeaconry, singing, dancing, and marching victoriously towards Christ Church, Uwani, Enugu.

The Bishop of Enugu Diocese and Archbishop of Enugu Province, Anglican Communion, His Grace, Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma and his entourage marched out last. The legion of worshipers passed through Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium towards Uwani and ended at Christ Church, Uwani for item 7.
Enugu Anglican Easter Rally

At Christ Church, the Archbishop led the congregation to reaffirmation of faith and renewal of baptism and confirmation vows, after which he prayed and went round to have a look and taste of the cola on the tables. Food and drinks were served afterwards; archdeaconry by archdeaconry and people left for their destinations.

Easter 2018 has come and gone but the message of Easter should not be a seasonal thing, let the memories attached to it forever live in our hearts and be visible in our conducts until we celebrate again come 2019. Jesus indeed arose and is alive forever!
